Dinners Divine was a "Dinner Preparation Studio." It was a big fad in the mid-to-late 2000's, with at least three competing brands in my home town. People would come in to get pre-portioned meals in resealable plastic bags and disposable plastic containers. The goal was for them to still be able to have a home-cooked meal with their busy lifestyles, without the shopping, preparation, or dirty dishes that go along with it. They could come in and get a recipe, and pre-portion exactly what they needed out, then make it at home themselves by following the directions.

They've been out of business for over ten years, so they don't have an online presence anymore, but here's a health inspection score from during my employment.
May 2007 – September 2008 (1 year and 5 months)
  • Washed dishes and cleaned kitchen in accordance with health code requirements.
  • Prepared and packaged ingredients upon delivery for customer purchase.
  • Received and stored shipments of new foods.
  • Kept front-end of storefront, as well as the back-of-house, clean and tidy.
I had connections with management, and jumped at the opportunity. It was my first job, and gave me something to do during the summer and on weekends.
Business owner's son was paralized during a surfing trip. His mounting medical bills and increased need for assistance prompted the owner to close the business.
